We are thrilled to announce we have a brand new dedicated FB page to track our film efforts in real time, as we progress with filming interviews and share new data on Chronic Pain. Please check us out, like the page and share forwards. We look forward to sharing this journey with you all.
There are currently a reported 100 Million Chronic Pain Patients living in the USA alone. Thats a whopping 1 in 4 persons. In Canada, the nos. are estimated to be 7 Million. Chronic Pain currently receives less than 1% of 1/4 of each dollar for research and treatment than any other Disease in Canada. Yet pain that does not resolve, is the fast growing medical problem - world wide. By the year 2020, statistics estimate that some 179 Million Americans will live in long term chronic pain. What we are doing about this global , pressing issue ? Not much.
We are living in a #PandemicOfDenial.

PANDEMIC OF DENIAL ( TM) is a
new documentary film, currently in development.
Pain affects every single one of us on the planet in some way- be it a personal experience, a shared experience with a loved one, or the burden to society by its extensive costs to us all.
In developed countries, including Canada, the USA, Briton and Australia, statistics tell us that on average- 1 in 4 to 1 in 5 people live in chronic intractable pain, that will not resolve in their lifetime. With an aging population of post- war baby boomers, this number will definitely rise, unilaterally. Statistics indicate that by the year 2020 we will be living in a Pandemic globally, of chronic pain; Pain that could cost society Trillions of dollars annually ( * projected stats USA).
What, if any measures are in place to shoulder this economic burden?
Sadly, research has shown that although a significant number of persons planet wide currently live in chronic pain- there are little to no strategies in place to effectively manage future projected costs to society in medical costs, insurance claims and lost productivity. Our already overburdened and fragile health care systems are in no way prepared for this coming onslaught.
So, what do we do about this growing epidemic ? We educate, inform, and lobby for changes to current funding in chronic pain management and research. Singly, we are one small voice and one small concern- but TOGETHER through effective TEAMWORK, we are an army of truth and strength.
Please join us, as we embark on this journey of education to the masses - through the creation of a feature length documentary on this growing world wide health concern.
